Panel on Research Ethics (Government of Canada)
The Panel of Research Ethics supports the three Canadian federal research agencies and promotes the conduct of ethical research in Canada. The Panel coordinates the creation and interpretation of policy documents to guide ethical research in Canada, and provides training and other supports to researchers.
Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans – TCPS 2 (2022) – a joint policy statement from Canada’s three federal research agencies – the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

TCPS 2: CORE-2022 (Course on Research Ethics)
An online tutorial (CORE-22) developed as an introduction to research ethics for Canadian researchers. The course focuses on ethical guidelines specific to research involving human participants. In many academic institutions, completion of the TCPS-2 is a requirement for conducting research requiring institutional ethics approval.
Alberta Innovates ARECCI Screening Tool
Alberta Innovates (2017) ARECCI Screening Tool- A Project Ethics Community Consensus Initiative (ARECCI) offers this tool to help determine whether the project is research or not, the level of ethical risk, and the most appropriate type of ethical review.
